Tutoring
One-on-one Orton-Gillingham (OG) tutoring sessions
Minimum of 2 times per week on non-consecutive days
45-55 minutes per session
In-person or online depending on the student’s location
Initial onboarding includes a review of formal evaluations and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), a parent interview, and implementation of informal testing measures to create a baseline
Semi-annual informal assessments with a report describing the student’s progress as well as a meeting with parents to review results
Sessions include exercises that teach, support, and reinforce the student’s executive function skills
Consulting
Guide parents with how they can best support their child’s learning
Work with schools and school districts by providing information and strategies directly to teachers
Provide direct consultation services to school-based staff in order to reinforce skills and strategies taught in tutoring sessions for any student who receives tutoring through Nuts & Bolts Educational Tutoring
